I’m Damla, the photographer behind Ada Photography. As a mother myself, I understand how meaningful photographs can become over time. My aim is to create images that feel personal to you and help you remember not only how this chapter looked, but how it felt.

My maternity photography style is light, soft and natural, with a touch of boho elegance. I love working with ivory, white, beige and warm neutral tones, complemented by natural textures, delicate flowers and carefully styled details.

I keep my backgrounds simple so that you remain the focus of your photographs: your growing belly, your expressions and the anticipation of welcoming your little one.

Whether you prefer intimate portraits on your own or beautiful photographs with your partner and children, your session will be planned around the memories you want to create.

A Photoshoot Designed Around You

Every mother is different, which is why I take time to understand your preferences before your maternity photoshoot in Haarlem.

After booking, I send you a personal questionnaire to learn about your preferred style, your ideas and anything you would like me to consider. You will also receive a maternity preparation guide with clothing suggestions, styling advice and practical information about your session.

I have a selection of outfits available in my studio, and you are welcome to bring your own favourite dress as well. My goal is to help you feel prepared and comfortable, without making the process complicated.

Feel Beautiful and Confident in Front of the Camera

You don’t need to know how to pose or have experience in front of a camera. I guide you throughout your maternity photoshoot, helping you find natural poses and expressions that feel right for you.

I also show you photographs during the session so we can explore different angles and make adjustments together. Your feedback matters to me, and I want you to feel involved in creating your photographs.

If you have concerns about your appearance or particular details you would like me to consider, you can tell me beforehand. I take your preferences into account during the shoot and editing process.

You don’t have to look a certain way to deserve beautiful maternity portraits. You simply deserve to feel seen, comfortable and beautiful as yourself.

Maternity Photoshoots in Haarlem: Studio or Outdoors

You can choose a maternity photoshoot in my home studio in Haarlem or an outdoor session, depending on your preferences and the atmosphere you would love for your photographs.

I generally recommend scheduling your pregnancy photoshoot between 28 and 32 weeks, when your bump is usually beautifully visible and many mothers can still move around comfortably.

I recommend getting in touch approximately one month before your preferred date so we have time to discuss your ideas, prepare for the session and arrange your booking.

From Your Photoshoot to Your Favourite Memories

After your session, I will share an online gallery where you can view your photographs and choose your favourites according to your selected package. You can also purchase additional images if you would like more.

Editing usually takes around one week, with the overall process from selection to final delivery taking approximately two to three weeks.

I also offer printed photographs and albums for families who want to enjoy their memories beyond a digital screen. There is something special about holding a photograph in your hands, displaying it at home or looking through an album together years later.

My own experience has taught me how meaningful these images can become. I didn’t have professional maternity photographs taken during my own pregnancy, and today I wish I had. It is one of the reasons I believe so strongly in preserving these fleeting moments for other mothers and their families.
